ANALYSIS OF CAPILLARY ABSORPTION PHENOMENA OF CEMENT PASTE AND MORTAR BY USING TWO LIQUIDS IMMERSION METHOD

Durability of reinforced concrete is correlated to the water content. Since main cause content increase rainwater supply from surface, it important understand mechanism absorption. This paper analyzes initial absorption cement mortar caused by capillary phenomena. Absorption test for two liquids were conducted various mix proportions under several relative humidity and surface treatments. By using Lucas-Washburn equation, parameters corresponding pore structure wettability internal wall evaluated. It was found that almost any have approximately same wettability.
